Chaos Releases V-Ray 6 for 3ds Max, Update 2, Enhancing Architectural Visualization Workflow

Chaos, a leading provider of rendering and visualization tools, has announced the launch of V-Ray 6 for 3ds Max, update 2. This latest update brings together the power of V-Ray and Enscape, providing architects with a seamless visualization workflow. In addition to this integration, several new features have been introduced to improve USD support and enhance the overall user experience.

The key highlight of this update is the integration of V-Ray and Enscape into a single architectural visualization workflow. This integration allows for a continuous workflow from CAD to DCC, ensuring consistency and simplifying the visualization process. Users can now seamlessly transfer Enscape environments, materials, and assets, eliminating inconsistencies between different applications.

Furthermore, V-Ray 6, update 2, introduces MaterialX support, which enhances the USD pipeline for smoother rendering and shader exchanges across different teams and tools. This update also includes the latest USD support for 3ds Max, providing users with updated capabilities and improved performance.

Aside from these major updates, V-Ray 6, update 2, offers a range of additional features designed to improve workflows and enhance the user experience. Chaos Cloud One-Click Submit enables faster workflows by streamlining the rendering process. Improved .vrscene exports ensure seamless integration with other tools and platforms. The unified V-Ray Lister for 3ds Max simplifies the management of V-Ray assets.

For users utilizing V-Ray GPU, this update brings new capabilities such as V-Ray Enmesh for creating complex geometric patterns and faster animation rendering. The V-Ray Frame Buffer (VFB) also sees improvements with the addition of Chromatic Aberration and Custom Background Color options. Additionally, Chaos Scatter introduces Groups Hierarchy, Altitude Variance, and Scatter Orientation for more realistic scattering.

Chaos Cosmos, a collection of ready-to-render assets, now includes IES Light Models that facilitate quicker interior illumination. These assets can be easily utilized to enhance the realism of architectural visualizations.
